Perhaps the extensive corruption testing you mentioned is being done on the Server product and not the Windows 10 Pro for Workstations SKU? The good drive should have been used to repair the errors. Note, the corruption was on one drive of a mirror. The Workstations SKU is broken as far as ReFS/Storage Spaces goes. Just not possible. The HDS-displayed drive map was peppered with random writes HDS wrote random bits to many locations all over the drive.

(2) The drive where I corrupted the files was nearly full with large multi-GB video files and Hard Disk Sentinel (HDS) wrote to random spots for several minutes.
